ARCHIVE.ORG has been building a collection of old 78 recordings. You can find old recordings of Charlie Christina, Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, Mike Jackson, Duke, Dizzy, and the list goes on. I have this filtered by jazz but you may want to explore other options. Some of these are kinda fun to listen to. Give it a try

Fun discussion with Tommy Tedesco at the Musicians Institute. When you want to listen to a storyteller, give it a try.

Rich Severson In these blues shuffle lessons I would like clarification on the notation. Take the first 4 measures after the pickups in Blues Shuffle Solo 1 as the example. The notation uses "B" to denote bends, "p" for pull-offs, and "h" for hammer-ons BUT what does "L" denote?

Also, there are numbers in vertical ovals over certain notes, what do those denote? For example, measure 2 has the numbers 2 and 9 encircled by a vertical ovals over a single note of "f" bring bent up from the "e" note just below it. The same notation is used in the tab. What does this mean?
