Luis Bonfa's classic samba was written for the movie Black Orpheus along with Manha de Carnaval. It's a very recognizable tune performed by many jazz artists. Don't let its fast tempo scare you away, it's just as beautiful and effective at a slower tempo. The song is relatively simple to play and also to improvise over the chord progression. Every jazz combo needs a samba or two in its set list and this is a great fun one to add. 28 minute video with close ups, demonstrated slowly by measure then rehearsed in sections to learn its tricky rhythms. Includes printable PDF in tab and notation plus Mp3 play along track.
